BRIDGWATER PETANQUE CLUB

The Bridgwater Petanque Club was founded in the Summer of 2024 when the Bower Inn installed a small terrain in their grounds. When some local petanque enthusiast found out about this new facility in town it was not long before a few of them got together to form "The Bridgwater Petanque Club".

With the help of social media, Dan the Bower Inn manager and the local Town Council, club membership has gradually increased. The club has a mixture of experienced players and players new to the game. We are able to offer equipment to anybody wishing to try their hand at petanque when perhaps they have never played it before.

After several months fund raising and with the support of Bridgwater Town Council and a grant from the Somerset Community Foundation, in April 2026 the Bridgwater Petanque Club moved into its new home in Victoria Park.
